SRILANKAN airlines provide sponsorship to Lanka Lions Cricket Club Singapore.

SriLankan airlines have shown their support for the defending Singapore domestic cricket champions Lanka Lions Cricket Club by being a sponsor for the upcoming domestic cricket season. Mr. Mohan Meegolle, Country Manager for Sri Lankan airlines in Singapore is confident that Lanka Lions Cricket Club is a worthy recipient of their support. “SriLankan airlines is a supporter of cricket in Sri Lanka and elsewhere. Apart from their good contribution to domestic cricket in Singapore and to the wider sporting community here, Lanka Lions Cricket Club also consists of a good cross segment of SriLankan airlines customers and prospects in the region making them a worthy recipient of our support” said Mr. Meegolle. “We are excited about getting support from Sri Lanka’s national carrier. This sponsorship comes ahead of the cricket season and we will put it to good use towards the upcoming season. Cricket being quite an expensive game to play in Singapore, we are of course very thankful for the support we receive from all our sponsors and well wishers, as they are one of the main reasons we continue to win titles in domestic cricket in Singapore. So we hope to have more titles to show for all of their support in 2010 too” said Silmi Nawaz, president of Lanka Lions Cricket Club.
